Board Work Session – November 4, 2009

CALL TO ORDER

The work session was called to order by President Rick Wetzel at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Bill Blackburn, Rob Hunt, Amy Nieman, and Mr. Wetzel.  Also in attendance, were Superintendent Arseneau, members of DAC, and the District Leadership Team. 

AGENDA

MOTION Blackburn, second Hunt, to approve the agenda as presented. MOTION CARRIED; Voting Aye – Blackburn, Hunt, Nieman, Wetzel.

PRESENTATION ON BOARDS END POLICY E-2 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT TO BOARD & DAC

Assistant Superintendent Linda Murray started off the presentation reviewing the district action plan followed by each building giving their presentation to the Board of Education and members of DAC.   

BOARD GOVERNANCE

The Board of Education reviewed GP-5, President’s Role; and GP-4, Monitoring Board Performance.
